Aspiring Cricket Stars, Apply Now for BKSP Sports Degree
Do you dream of a career in sports, with a special focus on cricket? The Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) is now accepting applications for its Bachelor of Sports Studies program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a unique opportunity for talented individuals to pursue higher education in sports science while honing their cricket skills.
The four-year program, affiliated with the National University, offers students the chance to study as either residential or non-residential scholars. This year, the focus is specifically on cricket specialization.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed their SSC or equivalent exams in 2022 or 2023, and HSC or equivalent exams in 2024 or 2025. Specific GPA requirements vary based on academic streams. For Humanities, Business Studies, and related streams, a minimum GPA of 2.0 in SSC and 2.0 in HSC is required, with an overall average GPA of 4.5 across both examinations. Students from Science and Vocational streams need a minimum GPA of 2.25 in SSC and 2.0 in HSC, with an average GPA of 4.75.
Crucially, applicants must also have proven experience in cricket, having played at a national, divisional, Dhaka League, or National Cricket League level.
The application deadline is July 30. The admission test, scheduled for August 9 at BKSP, Savar, will assess candidates through a combination of multiple-choice questions in Bangla, English, and General Knowledge, as well as a practical evaluation of sporting ability. Exam results will be announced on August 20, with final admissions on September 3 and classes commencing on September 6.
