Bangladesh Exam Results Date Shifted for 1.8 Million Students, New Announcement Soon
Over 1.85 million students across Bangladesh are now anticipating a new publication date for their 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination results. A previously set date of July 20 for the release of these important results has been postponed.
Professor Syed Aktaruzzaman, who chairs both the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed this change on Saturday. He informed the press that while the results would not be released on July 20 as planned, the education boards are fully prepared. Authorities are working to publish all results before the end of July.
This updated timeline follows an earlier announcement made on June 8 by Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon. The minister had publicly declared at a press conference that the 2026 SSC and equivalent examination results would be made public on July 20. At that time, relevant departments had received instructions to meet this deadline.
The 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations are a crucial milestone for students, impacting their future education and career choices. The written tests for these examinations began on April 21 and concluded on May 20. Following this, the practical examinations for eligible students continued for several more weeks, finally finishing on June 14.
A vast number of candidates, more than 1,857,000 in total, participated in these nationwide assessments. This includes students taking the SSC examinations under the country’s nine general education boards. It also comprises Dakhil candidates from the Madrasah Education Board. Additionally, SSC and Dakhil (Vocational) candidates, who are guided by the Technical Education Board, were part of this significant academic event.
Students, their families, and educators are now waiting for the official announcement of the revised publication date. The education authorities remain committed to delivering these results to millions of hopeful students within the current month of July, ensuring clarity for their next academic steps.
