Captain Shanto Declares Australia Victory Bangladesh’s Greatest Cricket Win
Bangladesh cricket recently achieved a major milestone. The team won a Test match against Australia in Darwin. It was a historic nine-wicket victory. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto called this Bangladesh’s biggest win. He called it their greatest victory in any cricket format.
This win holds great importance. Sri Lanka has never beaten Australia in Australia. Pakistan last won there in 1995. Only India, from Asian teams, has defeated Australia this century. Bangladesh has now joined this rare list.
Bangladesh also beat New Zealand in a Test in 2022. That win was historic. However, Australia is a top world cricket team. Captain Shanto believes this win against Australia is even more significant.
