Criminals Infiltrate Bangladesh Politics, Sparking Public Fear

Bangladesh faces a growing problem. Criminals are entering the nation’s political parties. Many even get elected to public office. These individuals quickly gain power. This trend worries many people. It is a bad sign for Bangladesh’s future.

Political parties often do not follow their own rules. Party positions are sometimes given for money. Top roles are selected, not elected. This corruption helps criminals join parties. They then use these connections for their own gain.

The lack of punishment also helps criminals. They commit crimes but often escape justice. This creates fear among ordinary people. Many citizens are afraid to report crimes to the police. They fear harm if they speak against powerful criminals.

Terrorist groups continue their work even when leaders are arrested. Their members operate efficiently from the second level. Weapons stolen from police stations make these groups more dangerous. Easy access to weapons leads to more violence and murder.

People may turn to crime for different reasons. Feelings of isolation can play a role. Hopelessness and disrespect for society also matter. Joblessness and anger with the government can push people towards crime.

To stop this, Bangladesh needs strong rule of law. Everyone must face justice under existing laws. Criminals must be kept out of politics. Politicians who help criminals should also face action. Stopping the flow of weapons is also key.
