Crucial Medical Tests Announced for 1,334 47th BCS Nominees

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued important instructions for 1,334 candidates. These individuals have been provisionally nominated for various government positions. They were selected through the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examination-2024. Their mandatory medical tests are now officially scheduled.

These vital medical examinations will take place from August 22 to August 24. This is a critical step for all candidates chosen for public service. The DGHS has provided clear and detailed guidelines to ensure every candidate understands the process.

Before their main medical examination, all candidates must complete a drug test. This specific test is very important. It needs to be finished by 10 AM on the working day immediately preceding their scheduled medical test date.

The comprehensive medical examinations will be conducted at nine specialized government hospitals across Dhaka. Dhaka Medical College Hospital is among the main locations designated for these tests. Candidates should know which hospital they are assigned to.

Candidates are required to pay a medical test fee of Taka 50. This payment must be made through an e-challan. The specific code for this transaction is 1441299. An additional Taka 50 must be submitted in cash directly to the medical board. This second payment covers the board’s processing fee.

Each candidate must bring their preliminary examination admit card. This card was issued by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC). It is essential that the admit card clearly displays the candidate’s photograph for proper identification. Without this, candidates may face difficulties.

Finally, candidates must also present reports from several pre-required medical investigations. These include tests such as CBC, FBS/RBS, ECG, VDRL, HIV, and HBsAg. It is crucial that these reports are collected from a government institution. Furthermore, they must be obtained within five working days before the scheduled medical test to ensure their validity and accuracy.
