The White House did not deny a Wall Street Journal report about his resignation. White House Spokeswoman Anna Kelly commented on Monday. She praised Secretary Driscoll’s leadership. Kelly said he advanced President Trump’s goals for the Army.
Driscoll showed strong leadership during military operations. He helped restore focus on readiness and fighting power. He also assisted with talks between Russia and Ukraine. The Army is stronger because of his efforts, she said.

Secretary Driscoll is considered close to Vice President JD Vance. He is the latest high-ranking official to leave the Pentagon. These departures happened under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
