Real Madrid Stays Football’s Top Brand, Arsenal Makes Historic Jump
Real Madrid has once again proven its financial strength off the pitch. For the third year in a row, the club is the world’s most valuable football brand. Its brand value increased by 25 percent in one year. It now stands at EUR 2.4 billion, or USD 2.766 billion.
Brand Finance, an international valuation agency, released its 2026 report. This report confirmed Real Madrid’s top position. Their recent performance in La Liga did not affect this. The total brand value of the top 50 clubs reached a record EUR 23.9 billion.
Brand value shows how much a club’s name is worth. It estimates how much future money a club can make just by using its name. The report shows that the top 10 clubs hold over 60 percent of this total value. This means the richest clubs are becoming even stronger.
FC Barcelona kept its second place. Its brand value is USD 2.276 billion. Barcelona increased its value by 15 percent to EUR 2 billion. Winning La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup helped this growth. Their return to Camp Nou also boosted ticket and match-day earnings.
Arsenal Football Club made the biggest surprise in the ranking. The Gunners climbed five places to reach third. This is the first time in their history. Their brand value rose by 28 percent to EUR 1.5 billion, or USD 1.772 billion. Arsenal won the Premier League for the first time in 22 years. They also reached the Champions League final.
Real Madrid’s success comes from its improved Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The club earned a record EUR 1.2 billion in revenue this season. This came from match-day tickets, hospitality, and tourism. Star players like Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius Júnior also help the club’s global appeal.
Other top clubs also saw changes. Bayern Munich moved up two places to fourth. Paris Saint-Germain, or PSG, remained in fifth place.
However, some major English clubs slipped in the rankings. Manchester City dropped from third to sixth place. Liverpool fell from fourth to seventh. Manchester United moved from seventh to eighth. Their rivals grew faster in value.
Chelsea held its ninth position. Borussia Dortmund returned to the top 10 for the first time in a decade.
